Erin Thompson
Welcome to Voice By Erin! I graduated from the Butler School of Music at the University of Texas with a Bachelor's degree in Vocal Performance. I have performed in several musicals, operas, concerts and church programs as well as many other events. I have also directed several church choirs and acted as Music Director for Curtain Call Cafe's performances of Zaney Muldaney: On The Road to Kingdom Come, The Foul Case of the Missing Pheasant and The Swarthy Seadog. I enjoy singing and teaching a variety of musical styles and genres. Currently I am a member of the Lake Houston Chamber Singers and a staff singer at Kingwood Christian Church.
I live in Kingwood, Texas and serve all surrounding areas of North-East Houston. I currently teach out of my home and on location at Atascocita, Summer Creek, Porter, and West Fork High Schools. I am a current member of TMEA, and I strive to achieve a high number of All-State ensemble members each year. I have taught numerous Region Choir members and multiple TMEA All-State Choir members. My students earn top scores at solo competitions and receive many honors including featured solos in their choral programs, lead roles in musicals, as well as numerous scholarships and awards. Many of my past students have gone on to be successful professional musicians and students of music at top music schools across the country such as University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, Oberlin Conservatory of Music, UNT School of Music, UT Butler School of Music, Baylor University, UH Moores School of Music, and Berklee College of Music.
